Can't wait for all these parts to come in! Thank you SXTH Element for sponsoring this video! https://sxthelement.com/collections/off-road
The sticker price alone is insane…$65K+…that's not that far off from the MSRP on my '22 Tundra TRD Pro – $68,500 i think (which i hated)! I spit up my coffee when you said what your lease payment was. I appreciate the fact that you are putting yourself out there and providing context (i.e., this is a business expense) but damn. I am buying a '24 Ranger Raptor TODAY for $58,400 (MSRP) and putting enough down so my payment is just less than $400/mo. There should be a big disclaimer at the beginning of this video…"Please for the love of God do not try this at home!" I that fancy gimmick seat is worth it.
I know they lack tech but paid $61000 for a 21 sequoia trd pro that drives like a dream and so much room for traveling with friends
Ranger raptor with the factory tune will destroy this truck all day every day. You can also put people in the rear seats in the raptor
Not really a giveaway when you are making a profit. Insane
Toyota determined this truck would be worth 45k at the end of your lease? In 3 years? Wow. Thats a lot of depreciation.
You're nuts! You won't get anything for all those accessories you installed. Unless it's a private sale! Most of the time, with a truck that's lifted, you get less on trade-in. Leases aren't for those who modify vehicles. Or the person who wants to buy it afterward. You are paying $15K to $20K over the original MSRP. That's insane! Finally, of course, insurance will be higher on hopped up vehicle models. Have you ever watched those YouTube videos. Of morons jumping a TRX across a creek. Rolling Rubicon Jeeps! Or blowing the differential off a Raptor. Doing stupid stuff off-roading. The extra money is for the preformance capabilities. I'm sure a Raptor R costs more than regular 3.5 Ecoboost Raptor…..
Congrats
This guy is the reason why Toyota gets away with charging a dumb amount of money for their vehicles.
Love the giveaway idea for $100!
No one asked for turbos
50k for a used Tacoma LOL, you really need to lay off of the drugs Jon. This is post COVID and you could buy a new one with a full warranty for less. Those trucks are sitting on dealers lots.
Good luck with your finances, hopefully YouTube is paying you some good money and you can cover the cost this way.
Wow $500 under MSRP. Just bought an 24 ORP today at $3K under MSRP. You need to learn how to shop!
I bought a 2011 Suzuki Equator today for $4,500.00
I’m more satisfied with this purchase than I would be buying a 2025 similar truck and being broke.
I work for Toyota, the leases make a ton of sense for what you do. You can still modify them and even go over on miles if you buy it out or trade it in.
I certainly enjoy what you do with all these trucks, and now that you have a lease, it will be interesting to hear a review of your experience with that financing option. Besides, I want to see this thing go fast!
I’d buy a chance for $100
I hate the trd pro front seat. No space in the back
Thanks for a nice video. Great way to illustrate why lease etc. plus you don’t out tons of miles on so why take the hit. Good video!
Pro=higher risk drivers generally
My purpose for using a short term lease would be to have the ability to return a vehicle that doesn’t meet expectations .
If these vehicles flop in the market place , and suffer in resale value , I don’t want the huge hit in value when attempting to resell .
Eh I wouldn’t lease truck I would lease a ev though . Just get ranger is cheaper or Colorado
Thank you for putting this out. I've never leased a vehicle and after watching this I will most likely never lease a vehicle in my life unless a company I work for pays for it… Leases are ridiculous.
Makes sense. Ppl don’t understand what a monthly payment is on a 50-70 car lol. It’s a lot and the way you do YouTube this was smart
Shoulda bought it Jon…
Leasing makes sense for a business like his if he wants to keep the vehicle for a short time. He is practically renting it until the videos cover the cost of the rent. When the videos start making less than the lease for a few months then he can jump out of the lease.
For personal use I don’t think a lease makes sense ever unless it’s an extremely inexpensive lease. Some EVs in Colorado could be leased for less than $100/month including the down payment with 2-year term. One of the TFL guys did it.
If the giveaway ends up being open for Canadians count me in!
There are definitely pros n cons for buying vs. leasing. Leasing def makes more sense for you as a YouTuber since you own the vehicles for such a short period of time.
Jon I worry for you. Please do not over extend yourself.
Some useful information in this channel, but definitely bad financial influence! Young people please don’t follow what he does
I’m surprised you’ve never leased before it’s definitely your speed with how much you transition to new ones. My only question because I’ve never leased is how far are you able to go with modifications are you permitted to change anything? Just curious
