😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I remember buying a friend food after hearing this. She asked if i owed her, i said no, of course not! You are my friend. And secretly, I thought to myself, I'd like to keep it that way.
i loaned my friend 2k so he could get teeth pulled, i never expected the money back, and he offerd to pay me back by doing my yard work for 4 years
I lend my Dad money all the time under the assumption I won't get it back or at least back as currency. A lot of the time My Dad will fix stuff for me when I need it . I never lend money to anyone thinking I will get it back.
Don’t let people borrow money. Say no or change the subject.
yeah this is smart. i lent (read: gave) a friend 4000 to get her kids out of a bad situation. she promised to pay me back bu t i knew she never would. and yet I'm annoyed now. she's making zero attempt to pay me back.
I disagree a little bit. If someone is in a bind and asks for help with a promise to pay it back. Especially a young man. Do it once. It’ll tell you who he is and whether he’s a man or not. Understand that you might never get it back. I helped a 23 year old who was starting a roofing business. I’ve never regretted that decision. Family, so maybe different.

Unless you give money freely…no questions asked❤
No, just fuckin pay it back!
Sure you never took your kids to Disney world because you were to cheap. Only made money so you can tell people how to live thier lives without experiencing it
Pay dept before ANYTHING 🎉
Straight up truth the borrower becomes slave to the lender
exactly. either give it with no strings attached or don’t
I never, ever, “loan” money. I’m not a bank. I will give money but never loan it. A gift doesn’t need to be repaid, and doesn’t require an explanation.
People borrow YOUR money and then THEY change.
Does this guy actually thinks that people who need money in this country can just go to disney world?
Where were you 13 years ago when I made
this mistake
I don’t loan money to anyone 😂
I'm not a bank. If I want to help someone, I just give them money. I don't ask for it back or want it back.
It's better to just tell them I can give you this much money ( look at as Charity) – maybe 200 or 300 and that all 😊🙏🏻
People who borrow off family have no shame …have no integrity…or no self respect…
Yes , dont loan or get into business with people you want to keep a cordial and pleasant relationship with.
Western society still struggles with this concept; you never loan money, you simply give it. If you don't have the money then fine, but if you're simply not inclined, then perhaps friendship is too strong a word for what you have.
Amen
Lack of priorities and selfishness is the issue here.
Which is the reason they need to borrow money in the first place.
There’s always excuse, kids need a holiday, it’s my wife’s birthday, we wanted to decorate, I needed a new suit for work. People could use spare money for anything at anytime but if you owe someone money you pay it back before you do anything else.
Even if you agreed some sort of payment schedule and you are sticking to it if you have ability to pay it back quicker you do that before you do things like a holiday/vacation.
Drop your own selfish way of thinking for 2 minutes, realise this other person has done you a favour lending you money and that if they see you spending large amounts on other things they might feel a little insulted. They saw you as a priority to lend you their money and now you don’t see them as a priority to pay them back. They are now down the list behind things like holiday trips, a new phone etc.
Get your way of thinking, selfishness and priorities sorted.
Now i’m gonna loan everyone i hate money.
Well I borrowed money and I told the guy that I would pay him back in 30 days he lent me $1,000 so I can fix my car. It was my co-workers if you don't pay me back in 30 days you got to go on a date with me lol and I was like okay I knew I was going to pay him back because I worked full-time and I also had several cleaning jobs and so anyways I peed him back in 28 days LOL I would have never asked to borrow the money if I couldn't pay it back
100% agree
If I give a loan to a friend I don't expect it back, it's easier to get someone to accept help by saying that it's a loan, just pay me back, atm a friend of mine owes me like 400 and I ain't missing that money, I'm still alive and eating well, and they got to eat well when they were struggling
Most of us loan to socialy show off as well, "here, take the money take the money.." whereas the pocket knows you cannot afford to give but well.. I have to prove to others that I am capable, same damn mind set when taking the loan. Social status.
I don’t ask for anything more than gas money days before my next check. It’s not worth destroying a friendship over money so the most I’ve ever asked for is 25 dollars.
Preach, if you lose them as friends even without loaning them money….walk away
Same goes with living with your parents. If you make more money than your mom or dad salary. Move out……controlling issues and boundaries become an issue.
Why don’t people think they aren’t supposed to pay back loans to friends and family?❤
I was told that if tou borrow money and don't pay it back, you are a THIEF.
Mistake with my family. Lesson learned. Parents and siblings always ask me for money.
He can't be more true. Especially about the family part!
I don't loan anyone, but if a close family member asked for money, i just give them with no expectations to pay me back
True facts
So true I am going through this. Smh At the end of the day you know you help someone that you love.
Only lend money if you are not expecting them back
So True 😊👍
Don’t loan money you can’t afford to lose. Similar to the investing rule.
I used to think Dave was an a-hole cause he is always always saying stuff like this lol
I understand now that he’s really saying if a friend or family member needs money and you have it to spare, give it to them and help them.
