So he’s says some absurd thing as putting tariffs on all things Chinese to make them pay for selling things here, the common is going to believe it.

17. The point of the tarriffs is that it incentivizes US businesses to import products from other countries besides China. This reduces the economic chokehold that China has on the US. If you have any inkling of critical thinking, you would know that we should not be relying heavily on a country that does not like us. This is coming from a Chinese-American. Also, Mark Cuban has a very obvious conflict of interest in that he has many companies import product from China.

33. My understanding is Trump wants to put tariffs on import so local economy can start producing. Local products can't compete in price with chainess products because labour cost difference. Can someone please explain if I'm getting this wrong.

    The tarriffs are to discourage companies from importing and instead buying from local manufacturers or opening factories as an alternative, which would lower the prices of goods in the long run, and create more jobs locally
